Dale S. Hermanson Sr. Obituary

WAREHAM – Dale S. Hermanson, Sr., 72, of Wareham, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, at Tobey Hospital, Wareham. He was the son of the late Ronald E. and Marilyn E. (Beal) Hermanson.

He was born and raised in Brockton and spent his retirement in Wareham. Dale was the first graduating class from the “new” Brockton High School, class of 1971. Dale also received an associate’s degree from Massasoit Community College.

Mr. Hermanson worked for National Grid for many years before retiring in 2015. Dale’s journey started at Easton Edison Electric Company, reading meters and being chased by dogs. His almost 4-decade long career ended with Dale retiring as an Electrical Engineer.

He was a member of the Vega Club in Brockton. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, canoeing and boating. Some of Dale’s favorite places were the Fishing Camp, Moosehead Lake, Between the Lakes, Eagle Lodge, and many more.

Dale took the trip of a lifetime in June with his best friend Rick to Sweden where they travelled through Norway. The two visited fjords, museums, and even enjoyed lunch with the King of Norway. Dale asked to keep him in memory by listening to one of his favorite songs, Spirit in the Sky by Norman Greenbaum.

Survivors include his sons, Dale S. Hermanson, Jr. and his wife, Joanne of Wareham, Justin M. Hermanson and his wife, Kelley of East Bridgewater and Nolan C. Hermanson of Wareham; a brother, Gary E. Hermanson and his wife, Laura of Middleboro; a sister, Kimberly Heath and her husband, Thomas of Wareham; 2 granddaughters, Ashley Ramirez of Alaska and Gabriella Hermanson of Wareham; a great granddaughter, Maribel Ramirez; several nephews, nieces and cousins including, Kraig Beal of Bangor, ME; 2 close friends, Rick Guillette of Plainville and Dennis Rooslet of Plymouth.

His services are being held privately.
