In Remembrance of Alton (Pete) Randall

Alton (Pete) Randall, 88, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his children Peter (Susan) Randall, David (Debbie) Randall, Karen (Mark) Haas, and Donna (Thomas) Plouffe; his grandchildren Kelly Acosta, Meghan Lebow, Kristina Randall, Melissa Randall, Joseph Plouffe, Bridget Plouffe and William Plouffe. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Ella (Marie), his brother Phillip G. Randall, and his sister Marie McLean. He was the son of the late Alton Randall Sr. and Victoria (St. Armand) Randall.

Pete proudly served in the Navy as a boatswain’s mate during the Korean War on the USS Smalley, earning the title of shellback along the way. Following his time in the Navy, Pete spent many years as a truck driver and was a proud Teamster. For years he was an active member in the local community serving in many roles at the Prince of Peace Church, Brockton Ward 2 politics, and the Boy Scouts of America, winning several distinguished awards. He enjoyed many hobbies such as CB radio, fishing, golf, reading, and watching his Boston Red Sox.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and will be missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to your favorite charity. All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday 4-7 p.m. (September 14th) at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, his funeral Thursday at 11 a.m. (September 15) at First Lutheran EV Church, 900 Main St., Brockton.
