Dear Friends of First,
Greetings and Welcome in the Name of Jesus Christ and the Community of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brockton, MA.
We are a Lutheran church community in the Brockton area that welcomes you, your family, and friends into our diverse community. We are an historic community of Lutheran Christians who house other worshiping communities, twelve-step groups, a food pantry, and YMCA transitional programs for young adults. We have excellent ministerial opportunities for all ages from Bible Studies to Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Evangelical means “messenger.”

Some big, big news! We’re feeding Coronavirus first responders in our local community and you can help. We’re partnering with Lady C’s Catering to prepare and deliver meals at a cost of just $6 per meal. How many $6 meal gifts could you provide for with a donation? Who might you enlist from among your family, neighbors, or friends to join in and help? This is a big, important effort and we need everyone all-in to help fill this enormous support function during the current crisis.Talk about it, pray over it, follow this link to share your gifts, and feel free to share here what you decided to do and why.
While our church community continues to deal with the Coronavirus crisis, our other day-to-day needs as a church go on. Please consider taking advantage of our online giving option if you wish to fulfill your pledges and offerings. Thank you!
Sunday Worship—Sunday, August 2nd, was the big day when we welcomed our congregation back into the church building for Sunday service after too many Sundays away. We will be continuing to gather each Sunday at 8:30 a.m. for a one service schedule.
Continuing to observe pandemic protocols, here are some things you need to remember:
Please wear a mask, one can be provided if needed.
There will be plenty of sanitation stations.
Enter and exit through the front doors, unless you’re handi-able.
If you need the elevator, please enter from the back entrance.
We look forward to seeing all you back in church again.
