Helping a Friend
As many of you know for some time now Don Anderson, Alden’s son, has health issues that limit his mobility. Don is now at a point where he needs a ramp at his home in New Hampshire. Don’s family has established a “Go Fund Me” page for those wishing to help with this project. The web address is Gofundme.com/donating-for-don. If you do not have internet access you may make a gift by placing it in the offering plate–checks may be made out to the church or to Julie or Laurie Anderson and we will forward them to the family. Please keep Don and his family in your prayers.

- IntroductionElijah finds the presence of God not in earthquake, wind, or fire, but in the sound of sheer silence. When the disciples face a great storm on the sea, they cry out with fear. Jesus says: “Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.” Amid the storms of life, we gather to seek the calm presence of Christ that soothes our fears. In comforting words of scripture and in the refreshing bread and cup of the eucharist, God grants us peace and sends us forth to be a sign of God’s presence to others.
