In accordance with Chapter 10, paragraph C10.03, a Special Meeting of the Congregation has been called for by the Church Council to be held following the 9:00 am Service this morning in the Nave of the church. All confirmed members in good standing are expected to attend. The purpose of this meeting shall be to amend the By-Laws of the Congregation to reflect the new staff structure as well as to correct some inconsistencies with the By-Laws relative to the Constitution and other logistical changes and to make recommendations regarding the funds received from the sale of the parsonage at 128 Country Club Lane. These are the only items of business that may be conducted at this meeting.

On Sunday, December 13 at 3:00 pm in the Nave of the Church, the Martha Guild, WELCA, will host the Festival of St. Lucia. Everyone is invited to join in this traditional Swedish celebration. Coffee and dessert will be served in the vestry following the program. A "special" guest will be on hand to greet the children.

Last year the Church Council upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee authorized the reduction in the number of offering boxes we purchase reduced from 1000 to 500. The rationale for this decision was based on the fact that each year more than 600 boxes of envelopes went unclaimed or unused and the cost of mailing them to members escalated to over a dollar each. For 2010 we have purchased 500 boxes of envelopes. To manage the numbering system with fewer boxes it is necessary to assign new numbers to anyone using their envelopes with a number higher than 500. If your current number is higher than 500 please check the list on the wall in the hallway by the office to see what your new number is. Please use this number going forward.
